NT Oosthuizen (Newcastle)
B.Com, MBA, B.Compt Hons, CA(SA)

Joined the practice on the invitation of his predecessor Des Smith in April 1991 after having gained substantial experience in commerce and industry over 12 years as, among others, office manager of KPMG Newcastle, financial manager of Dorbyl Heavy Engineering (Pty) Ltd and managing Director of Falkirk Industries (Pty) Ltd. He served as vice-chairman on the Kwa-Zulu Natal Provincial Board of ABSA and as resident of the AHI in KZN.




David Lee (Ladysmith)
B.Com, B.Compt Hons, CA(SA), HDip Tax

Joined the practice of Reay Lee and Vernon Lee in 1995, after serving for 5 years in the South African Revenue Services in Pietermaritzburg as assessor, auditor and assistant director. David also acquired extensive experience in manufacturing environment audits, exports and related foreign exchange transactions. He served two years as Chairman of the Northern Region of the Kwa-Zulu Natal Society of Chartered Accountants, and on the executive of the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Jacques Habig (Newcastle)
B.Com, B.Compt Hons, CA(SA)

Jacques completed his articles at the Newcastle office of Lee Oosthuizen and Smith Inc. in 2002, after which he was appointed audit manager. He was subsequently appointed financial manager at African Amines (Pty) Limited, a joint venture between Sasol Chemical Industries Limited and Air Products (Pty) Limited, where he gained experience in the chemical manufacturing industry and all aspects of the business, including cost and management accounting, exports and foreign exchange transactions and labour relations. After two years in commerce and industry, Jacques joined the practice in 2006 as a director and registered auditor and is also the training officer at the Newcastle office.

Melvin Gregory (Hilton / Ladysmith)
B.Compt, PGDip AAS, CA(SA)

Melvin served and completed his articles with Lee Oosthuizen and Smith Inc in 2010. Subsequent to completing his articles he remained with the firm as an audit manager. Melvin gained further audit experience joining a medium sized firm in Johannesburg for a year. He re-joined the firm in 2014 as a director and has been tasked with establishing the Hilton office.
Melvin is the training officer at the Ladysmith office.
